would you spend the money for solar power in your house?

If it cost you $4000 to 'update' your house to accept solar power panels, and to go 'green'- compost, etc... would you? I would cause in the long run, 'light' is free, and i hate paying $200 a month for electricity! we rent now, but when we get our own house, definitely! $4000 is just a figure, not set in stone. I will definitely use the solar power in my house, for water, heat, electric. If i have to invest $20k, it still better to no pay for electricity and heat! No matter what the economy does, the 'light' is free!!

Kirk Renaud (left) and Ketch Ryan of Common Cents Solar, supporters of the Sidwell Friends Lower School in Bethesda, raised $200,000 investment in the form of bonds from parents and the school community to pay for 120 solar panels that the Bethesda private school installed on the roof of the gymnasium last week.
